One of the major projects in which I had the opportunity to participate in the role of BIM manager on the side of the general designer - Laptev&Partners with the need to control BIM processes. This project is one of those that I particularly like for its uniqueness and the challenges it entailed.
Role: BIM Manager, Consultant
Task(s): Management, coordintaion, modelling, teaching, optimization
Year: 2022 - 2024
All detailed design work, as per the developer's (Donstroy) requirements, was to be delivered primarily through BIM. The model was developed to a high level of detail before construction began, with the expectation that the model would fully represent the construction-ready design. As a result, continuous clash detection and quantity take-offs were integral parts of the process, ensuring alignment with project costs, timelines and deadlines.
This project involved a wide range of responsibilities that significantly strengthened my ability to support complex developments. I provided training and hands-on support to team members working with highly customized architectural elements. My role also included support in 3D reinforcement modeling and consulting on post-tensioning workflows, ensuring accuracy in the model.
Additionally, I was responsible for the detailed BEP and project-specific standards, collaborated with MEP teams, and managed coordination through the IFC. The breadth of tasks—from modeling to cross-disciplinary coordination and management—gave me the confidence and experience to support challenging, high-standard projects.
